🔒 The short version: Bankd collects absolutely no data. Everything stays on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, and no way to access your family's information — because we never receive it.
Bankd ("the App") is a family screen time management application developed by Chapman Wise. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the App.
The core principle is simple: we collect nothing. Bankd operates entirely on your device. No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
Bankd does not collect, store, transmit, or process any of the following:
All data created within Bankd — including user profiles, token balances, activity history, chore records, and screen time requests — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
This data is not synced to iCloud, not backed up to any external service, and is not accessible to the developer or any third party. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device.
Bankd may request access to Apple HealthKit to read step count, workout, sleep, and activity data for the purpose of awarding tokens. This data is:
HealthKit permissions can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Bankd.
Bankd is designed for use by families including children under 13. Because we collect no data whatsoever, we are compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design.
We do not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. No account creation is required. No internet connection is required to use the app.
Bankd does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. There are no SDKs, trackers, or external dependencies that collect user data.

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note the change in the App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
